Watch the Opening Battle from X-Men: Days of Future Past

As we approach the release date of the latest Marvel mutant adventure X-Men: Days of Future Past, the anticipation grows stronger and stronger. Late last week, we showed you a new featurette for the film and one of the first looks as American Horror Story actor Evan Peters as Quicksilver. Now, thanks to the good people at Twentieth Century Fox, we have a look at the opening battle sequence for the upcoming film which contains all-new footage from the film.

The clip starts out with three sentinels dropping out of the sky. These certainly don’t look like the sentinels that we remember. The sentinels in X-Men: Days of Future Past look very ominous and almost scary.

We watch as some of the younger mutants like Blink, Shadowcat, Iceman, Colossus, and more prepare for the oncoming battle. While the clip does have its fair share of the action, it stops just short of things kicking into high gear. I mean, you can’t give everything away in the previews, now can you?
